Mission Statement
Friends of fisher House-Illinois' mission is to provide physical, emotional and financial support to veterans and military families during medical crises in Illinois Fisher Houses at Hines VA and 2nd future Fisher House at Lovell Federal Healthcare Center, North Chicago for as long as necessary. This kind of humanitarian support is not provided by the DOD or VA. for families.
About
Over 10 years, FOFH-IL has sustained Hines VA Fisher House providing 11,000 military families (22,000 individuals) with accommodations, meals and quality-of-life outings for as long as necessary (3 months to one year) as their loved one face medical crises. WE have saved these families some $13 million in lodging and meals. Now we are preparing for a 2nd much needed Fisher House.
